Day 1: Arrival in Kigali and Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Arrive at Kigali International Airport, Rwanda, where your adventure begins as you will be welcomed by your tour guide, who will be holding a sign with your name. After a warm welcome, embark on a scenic drive to Volcanoes National Park, home to the endangered mountain gorillas. Enjoy the picturesque landscapes of Rwanda as you drive through lush green hills and terraced farms. Along the way, you will stop for a delicious lunch at a local restaurant and proceed to the park.
Upon reaching Volcanoes National Park, check in at your lodge or accommodation where you will spend the afternoon at leisure, acclimatizing to the higher altitude and enjoying the tranquility of the park. Take this time to rest, relax, and prepare for the thrilling gorilla trekking experience the next day.
Dinner will be served at your lodge then sleep till overnight.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park and return to Kigali.
Gorilla Trekking Adventure! Wake up very early for breakfast at your lodge and head to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters, where you’ll meet your experienced gorilla trekking guide. After a briefing about the trek and gorilla etiquette, you’ll be assigned to a gorilla family group. Begin your thrilling gorilla trek through the lush forest, accompanied by trackers and guides who will lead you to the gorilla family. The trek’s duration can vary depending on the location of the gorilla group, but it’s usually an awe-inspiring journey through the beautiful terrain. Once you locate the gorillas, you’ll have a magical hour to observe and photograph these incredible creatures in their natural habitat. Remember to keep a respectful distance and follow the guidelines provided during the briefing.
After your unforgettable gorilla encounter, hike back to the park headquarters and receive a gorilla trekking certificate of participation for your gorilla trekking experience. Have lunch at a local restaurant in Musanze and depart from Volcanoes National Park and head back to Kigali. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have some time for a city tour in Kigali, visiting landmarks like the Kigali Genocide Memorial and local markets.
Later, your guide will drop you off at Kigali International Airport for your departure, or you can choose to stay overnight in Kigali if your flight is scheduled for the following day.
